1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for the LIKE LOOK app is Valery Byshko, ul. Chałupnicza 56, 51-503 Wrocław, Poland. For any questions about your data, email support@likelookapp.com.
2. What data we collect
- Account data: your name and email address, if you register in the app.
- Learning progress: which words are learned and which are marked for review, so your progress is kept across devices.
- Technical data: crash reports, so we can find and fix errors.
- Messages sent through the website form: your name, email address and message. They arrive in our mailbox and are used only to reply to you.
- Purchases: subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your card details. We only receive confirmation that your subscription is active.
3. Why we use your data
- to create your account and save your learning progress;
- to give you access to subscription content;
- to answer your support requests;
- to fix errors and improve the app.
Our legal bases are the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
4. Who receives your data
Data is stored and processed using Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited). Payments are handled by Apple and Google under their own terms. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. After you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except data we are legally required to keep.
6. Children
The app is made for children and is meant to be used together with a parent. The account should be created by a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data without your consent, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your data, and you can object to its processing. Email support@likelookapp.com and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in Poland: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (uodo.gov.pl).
8. This website
likelookapp.com does not use cookies, analytics or third-party fonts. The website is hosted by GoDaddy. Messages are kept only in our mailbox and are deleted on request.
9. Terms of use
- The app is intended for learning English words for personal, non-commercial use.
- Content is available with the “Full Access” subscription for 1 month or 1 year. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can cancel in your Apple ID settings or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own rules.
- The illustrations, associations, texts and songs belong to LIKE LOOK and may not be copied or distributed without our permission.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We will tell you about significant changes in the app.
